I often write about letting your passion come through in your writing. This morning I received an affirmation of why passion is so important.
A Tale of Two Dads
I received an email from my cousin-in-law, Desiree, that her Dad had lost his long battle with cancer.
In the irony that is life, his passing occurred on the day I posted about my Dad and his love of stories. I like to think he is now sharing those stories with Desiree’s Dad.
Desiree wrote a beautiful sentiment.
“ Please, if you can, go hug your father and know life is precious. Treasure each day–you never know what some people are going through in order to live through one more..”
Desiree’s sister got married last Saturday and their Dad walked her down the aisle – one last treasure.
Passion Counts
I hope you pardon this departure from my business blog, but this underscores for me the value of passion.
I am passionate about writing. It took me a long time to wake up and focus my energies on my passion.
No cliche about following your dream or living your passion says it better than the feeling of living life and feeling loved.
A Tribute to Two Dads
My Dad was my biggest fan, as I am sure Desiree’s Dad was hers.
My Dad died before I started my new business. I take comfort in knowing he would approve.
To paraphrase Desiree – go hug your loved ones. Life is precious. Go embrace your passion.
