I haven’t upgraded my big blog yet… it’s probably time. Thanks for the reminder.

I’ll do it soon, but I actually have about a dozen sites to take care of, several with custom themes based on Thesis.

I always wait a few days so people like you can tell me that there are no problems!

Not a bad strategy, John. I typically wait, too, but had read that it was pretty painless. Of course, after I upgraded was when I started hearing some people had problems. 🙂

I had no such problem-thank goodness.

I use an all-inclusive theme called Semiologic Pro which has been known to break on some upgrades, so I have to wait until the theme maker gives the go-ahead. I rarely upgrade until it gets past x.x.1 status as there are too many variables with the major upgrades. I have found though, that the old sites (ones that are several versions back) do get hacked by ne’er-do-wells.

Hi Ginny: I certainly understand why you’d wait. Imagine our world without ne’er-do-wells*sigh* 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, Ginny, and sharing a good caution about upgrading.
